About Dave

familyDave Snyder joined the staff at CrossPoint on June 1st, 2010 as the new minister to students. Here are some questions that he answered in order for you to better know him.

Where were you born? St. Louis, MO

When were you saved? Hard to pinpoint an exact date. Understood and believed in the full Gospel by the 8th grade.

Are you married? Yes, to my “suga mama.” Her name is Brooke. She is amazing.

Do you have kids? Yes, Eden was born on February 10, 2010. She looks just like her mom, which is a GOOD thing. Jude was born on June 3, 2013.  He is already a BIG boy (9lbs and 14 ounces at birth).  We are expecting another boy on March 21, 2017.

Why do you serve in student ministry? I love seeing students and their families connect the Gospel with their daily lives. Student ministry is a sweet privilege. The rewards aren’t found in numbers, but in born-again children in love with their Father.

Did you go to college or anything like that? Yes. I received a music degree from Murray State University (Go Racers), and then went on to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for my M. Div (degree for the benefit of the church) I received a doctorate of ministry degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC.

Are you athletic? Do you play instruments? Are you boring? Well, I’m not athletic, but I enjoy disc golf. I love reading the Word with a hot cup of coffee. I love spending time with my family and seeing the Gospel grow them. I love reading, journaling, and playing mariokart. I also enjoy playing the piano, guitar, and FRENCH HORN. Yes, I play the French Horn.

What is your favorite type of food? I love it when Brooke makes chicken penne pasta. She makes Rachel Ray look like microwaveable hamburgers.

What is your favorite sport team? The St. Louis Cardinals.

How do you want to finish this bio of you? Let’s just finish it right now…Thanks for reading.
